FSH News – In order to welcome the odd semester of the 2024/2025 Scademic Year, the lecturers of the Faculty of Sharia and Law UIN Jakarta held a regular meeting on August 27, 2024 in the 2nd Floor Theatre Room. This activity aims to prepare the entire element of teaching and administration in order to provide the best education to the students in the coming semester.

The meeting was chaired by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Maksum, S.H., M.A., MDC, who is also Dean of FSH UIN Jakarta, and was attended by entire lecturers from various majors and programmes of study. In his reception, the Dean highlighted the development of FSH from various aspects of both academic and non-academic, he also emphasized the importance of collaboration and innovation in the teaching learning process, especially in adapting the curriculum to the needs of industry and technological developments.

The agenda of the meeting included the evaluation of teaching activities in the previous semester, discussion of curriculum development plans, joint discussions, doorprize voting, as well as the dismissal of four lecturers who entered the post-secondary period, namely: 1. Prof. Dr. Salman Maggalatung, S.H., M.H, 2. Professor Dr. H. Yunasril Ali, M.A., 3. Dr. Burhanuddin, M.Hum, 4. Dr. Ipah Farihah, M.H.

Each lecturer was given the opportunity to provide input related to the development of the study program and improvement of the teaching methods that have been applied throughout this time. In addition, the meeting also discussed the implementation of new programmes to be implemented in the upcoming academic year, including increased research activities and dedication to the community. The lecturers also agreed to enhance the use of technology in learning, such as the utilization of Learning Management System (LMS) and the development of digital-based modules.

The meeting was interactive and full of enthusiasm, with various ideas and proposals that are expected to improve the quality of education at FSH UIN Jakarta. In conclusion, the Dean expressed his hope that the entire faculty can perform their duties and responsibilities better, as well as continue to innovate for the progress of the institution and the success of the students.

The lecturer's meeting ended with a shared and friendly photo session. The whole meeting hoped that this new academic year would run smoothly and yield optimum results for all parties. [EH]
