The 7th UIN Law Fair: Signing of MoU between the Constitutional Court and UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta

FSH News, Harun Nasution Auditorium – The Student Association of the Law Study Program held the opening of the VII UIN Law Fair and Studium Generale with the theme “Legal Development in Accelerating Constitutional Values in the Era of Political Transformation Towards a Golden Indonesia 2045.” The event was held in collaboration with the Constitutional Court, the General Election Commission, and the Deputy for Youth Empowerment of the Indonesian Ministry of Youth and Sports.

The Rector of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, M.A., Ph.D., also attended the opening of ULF 2024. In his speech, Prof. Asep emphasized, “The existence of scientific developments can position the Faculty of Sharia and Law as an inseparable icon for the development of Islamic and national law, as Islamic thoughts were born from UIN and IAIN, contributing to the harmony of Indonesian Islamic thought.” (Friday, 25/10/24).

This annual event, which includes the Constitutional Law Debate and National Scientific Writing competition, was officially opened by the Chairman of the Constitutional Court, Dr. Suhartoyo, S.H., M.H. “This is the third time the Constitutional Court has collaborated in the Constitutional Law Debate competition. We hope that students, as agents of understanding constitutional rights, can share this knowledge with the community, both on campus and in other environments,” Dr. Suhartoyo said shortly before officially opening the 7th UIN Law Fair.

On this occasion, the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Constitutional Court and UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta was also held electronically. The report on the MoU signing activities was delivered by the Secretary General of the Constitutional Court, Dr. Heru Setiawan, S.E., M.SI. “UIN has a strong commitment to legal civilization, and for the Constitutional Court, this cooperation is essential because the work of the Constitutional Court cannot be separated from higher education. Currently, the Constitutional Court has also provided video conference assistance for Constitutional Court sessions,” he said.

Additionally, the Faculty of Sharia and Law signed a cooperation agreement (PKS) with the Research and Development Division of the Constitutional Court.[LFM]
