PLKI UIN Jakarta Opens Opportunities for International Cooperation, FSH Prepares Steps Toward QS WUR Ranking 300

FSH News, Dean's Meeting Room – The Center for International Cooperation Services (PLKI) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta held a public outreach session regarding publications to be issued by Taylor and Francis. This presents a significant opportunity for FSH faculty members to have their work published in journals indexed by Scopus.

This Internationalization Program aligns closely with FSH's strategic objectives, as shared by the Dean of the Faculty of Sharia and Law, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Maksum, S.H., M.A., MDC. “Currently, FSH ranks 900th in the world by subject (Law), so this program will serve as a strategy and step for FSH to reach the top 300 in the QS World University Rankings (WUR),” stated Prof. Maksum on Monday, June 10, 2024.

The head of PLKI, Prof. Maila D.H. Rahiem, explained that improving QS rankings involves more than just publishing a high volume of articles; the number of Scopus citations is also crucial for improving the quality of these publications. "FSH has many professors, and we must make the most of this advantage by focusing on increasing both publications and citations," advised Prof. Maila.

During this session, PLKI also presented significant opportunities for FSH to collaborate with three international universities already established by PLKI. FSH is encouraged to advance these partnerships.

The leadership of the Faculty of Sharia and Law is now developing programs to formalize cooperation with these prestigious universities: Justus Liebig University Giessen (Germany), Islamic University of Madinah (Saudi Arabia), and Jamia Millia Islamia University (India).[LFM]
