MCC UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta Wins Overall Champion at the 2024 National Moot Court Competition Rudyono Darsono with the Theme “Law Enforcement of Crimes in the Field of Taxation”
FSH NEWS - On Tuesday and Wednesday, September 10-11, 2024, the Moot Court Community (MCC) of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta proudly secured 1st place and the overall champion title at the National Moot Court Competition Rudyono Darsono 2024. This year's theme was “Law Enforcement of Crimes in the Field of Taxation.” The competition, organized by Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 Jakarta, is a prestigious event that attracted teams from various higher education institutions across Indonesia.
All taxation moot court delegates from MCC UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to all the lecturers, staff, and the entire academic community of the Faculty of Sharia and Law, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, and the broader UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta academic community for their support and contributions, which played a significant role in securing the championship.
The objectives of this competition were to enhance the participants' competence in handling tax crime cases effectively, improve their understanding of tax laws and regulations, and provide a platform to showcase their skills in a simulated tax crime trial.
In addition to winning first place, MCC UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta also received several other prestigious awards, including Best Judge, Best Substitute Registrar, Best Public Prosecutor, Best Defendant, Best Expert Witness, and Best File. As a result, it was named the overall champion at the Rudyono Darsono 2024 National Moot Court Competition.
This competition served not only as a platform to test and showcase students' legal skills but also as a valuable opportunity for learning, collaboration, and professional networking. Eki Nurdiansyah, the Head of MCC UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, stated that this victory is not just for the delegation team but for the entire academic community of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. He hopes that this achievement will provide useful and inspiring experiences for all participants and motivate students to continue learning, striving, working hard, being dedicated, and never giving up.
