Introduction to Academic Campus Culture at FSH 2024
FSH News, Student Center Hall – The Faculty of Sharia and Law (FSH), in collaboration with the Faculty's Student Executive Board (DEMA FSH), held the 2024 Pengenalan Budaya Akademik Kampus (PBAK) program for new students. The event carried the theme: "Developing Sharia and Law Students with National and International Competitiveness through Integrity and Spirituality in the Digital 5.0 Era."
Prof. Dr. Muhammad Maksum, S.H., M.A., MDC., officially opened the PBAK program, which was structured as an orientation to the faculty. “FSH students must remain committed and honor their parents’ trust by studying diligently and achieving excellence,” he advised the 2024 cohort of new students during his opening remarks (Thursday, August 29, 2024).
Ahmed Najhan Arrohim, President of DEMA FSH, reminded participants that the Faculty of Sharia and Law is renowned for its intellectual rigor and unique integration of knowledge. “As FSH students, we bear a great responsibility to learn, uphold the good name of our alma mater, and embody the courage to stand for what is right and oppose what is wrong,” Najhan emphasized, motivating the 1,000 new students in attendance.
The PBAK organizing committee chair, Insan Fauzan Ramadhan, highlighted that PBAK is not merely a formal procedure but a critical first step for students to familiarize themselves with campus life. “This is where we learn to adapt to our new academic environment as university students, exploring the systems and cultures of our university, faculty, and study programs,” he explained.

Presentations began with Prof. Dr. Mesraini, M.Ag., Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, followed by Dr. Afwan Faizin, M.A., Vice Dean for General Administration, and Prof. Dr. Kamarusdiana, M.H., Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Collaboration.
