Improving International Programmes: 2025 Collaboration with Germany and Australia

FSH News, Madya Meeting Room – The Dean's Office, along with the Heads, Secretaries of Study Programs, and the Quality Assurance Team (GJM) of the Faculty of Sharia and Law, held their weekly leadership meeting to discuss the evaluation of both academic and non-academic programs.

The Dean of the Faculty of Sharia and Law, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Maksum, S.H., M.A., MDC., reminded everyone that the faculty's internationalization program continues to develop. "Next year, we aim to begin joint classes with Universiti Malaya and collaborative research with three study centers in Germany and Australia," he stated at the opening of the leadership meeting on Tuesday, December 3, 2024.

Prof. Maksum also addressed faculty research, emphasizing that each department should target 58 Scopus-indexed articles to be published within a year. This is both a challenge and a great opportunity for faculty members to collaborate more with international researchers. Additionally, the meeting covered the accreditation process for 2025, which will transition to the Independent Accreditation Agency (LAM) for Higher Education. "Especially for the Law and Master of Sharia Economic Law programs, they must be prepared for this transition to LAM," said Prof. Dr. Mesraini, M.Ag., Vice Dean for Academic Affairs.

Prof. Mesraini further urged the GJM team to thoroughly prepare for the upcoming international accreditation field assessment, scheduled for January 2025. Heads and Secretaries of the study programs were also instructed to prepare faculty members, students, and alumni aligned with the program's graduate profile for interviews with the AC-QUIN assessors.[LFM]
