Guest Lecturer Visit from Universiti Malaya’s Islamic Studies Academy to the Faculty of Sharia and Law, UIN Jakarta
FSH News, Madya Meeting Room - Universiti Malaya Lecturer Dr. Mohd. Hafidz bin Jamaludin Visits the Faculty of Sharia and Law at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta as a Guest Lecturer. Dr. Mohd. Hafidz bin Jamaludin, a lecturer from Universiti Malaya, visited the Faculty of Sharia and Law at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta as a Guest Lecturer for two weeks. During his visit, he taught classes and evaluated students' final projects.
Dr. Hafidz was warmly welcomed by the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Cooperation, the Vice Dean for General Administration, as well as the Heads and Secretaries of the Study Programmes. Prof. Dr. Kamarusdiana, M.H., the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, expressed the faculty's support: "Welcome, Mr. Doctor. We are very open to hosting guest lectures at the Faculty of Sharia and Law. We will promptly arrange a teaching schedule to facilitate your daily activities and ensure the success of this Visiting Lecture programme," she said during the welcome on Monday, November 18, 2024.
This activity aims to strengthen academic relations between the Islamic Studies Academy of Universiti Malaya and the Faculty of Sharia and Law at UIN Jakarta. It also provides an opportunity to gain insight into teaching and assessment regulations. "Furthermore, we are currently conducting a curriculum review, which has been ongoing for four years. By learning from the FSH, we hope to align our curriculum with the needs of our students and contribute to the development of the lecture curriculum at UM," said Dr. Hafidz.
During his visit, Dr. Hafidz is also conducting research on Sharia Economics, which will later be discussed with the National Sharia Council and muftis at the Indonesian Ulema Council. The discussions will be accompanied by FSH lecturers Dr. Bukhori Muslim, M.A., and Arip Purkon, M.A., Ph.D.
Furthermore, the Head and Secretary of the Study Programme have offered opportunities for joint collaboration, including delivering public lectures to students, teaching master classes, examining proposal exams, conducting research, and publishing collaborative work.[LFM]
