FSH News, Creative Lounge — The Faculty of Sharia and Law (FSH) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta inaugurated the Creative Lounge by Pegadaian Syariah as a facility to support student activities and strengthen collaboration between FSH and Pegadaian Syariah.

The inauguration was attended by the Rector of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, the Dean of FSH, Prof. Niam as a member of the Sharia Supervisory Board (DPS) of Pegadaian, and representatives of Pegadaian Syariah, including Beni Martina Maulan.

The Dean of FSH stated that the Creative Lounge will be utilized by students for various non-formal activities, creative initiatives, and student development programs. The use of the facility will be managed and scheduled by the faculty as part of FSH’s efforts to modernize its facilities and infrastructure.

The Rector of UIN Jakarta expressed his appreciation for Pegadaian Syariah’s contribution to supporting the development of campus facilities. He noted that the Creative Lounge reflects FSH’s commitment to sustainable growth and to providing better services for students.

He also highlighted four key agendas currently being promoted by UIN Jakarta: digitalization, green campus, institutional independence, and bureaucratic reform. “Students are our assets. Let us continue to care for and serve them well. Hopefully, this facility will become a driving force for student development,” he said.

Meanwhile, Prof. Niam emphasized the strategic location of the Creative Lounge and expressed hope that it would benefit not only FSH students but also students across UIN Jakarta. The facility can also serve as a practical learning space for students of the Sharia Economic Law Study Program while strengthening networking and collaboration with Pegadaian Syariah.

Representing Pegadaian Syariah, Beni Martina Maulan explained that the Creative Lounge was established primarily to support students’ non-formal activities while providing a space to foster their interest in and understanding of Pegadaian Syariah.

“The Creative Lounge is a form of shodaqah from Pegadaian Syariah customers,” he said.

Through the inauguration of the Creative Lounge by Pegadaian Syariah, FSH UIN Jakarta hopes that the facility will be utilized optimally as a space for creativity, learning, networking, and student development, while further strengthening collaboration between higher education and the Islamic financial industry.
