FSH UIN Jakarta and FS IAIN Pontianak officially announce strategic cooperation in the field of education and research

Banten, August 21, 2024 – UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta (FSH) Shariah and Law Faculty officially established strategic cooperation with IAIN Pontianak Sharial Faculty, through the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) held on Wednesday, August 21st, 2024, in the 2nd floor FSH UIN Jakarta Meeting Room.

The signing ceremony was attended by the Dean of FSH UIN Jakarta, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Maksum, SH., MA., MDC., and Deputy Dean I FS IAIN Pontianak Bapak Ardiansyah, M.Hum, along with the leadership of both institutions. This collaboration is a strategic step in an effort to enhance technological innovation through joint teaching, research and development, as well as improving the quality of human resources through team teaching and research programmes.

In his greeting, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Maksum stated, "We are very enthusiastic about this cooperation. Through this collaboration, we hope to create a strong synergy between the academic world and industry, which will ultimately contribute to technological progress in Indonesia."

"We believe that the collaboration with the IAIN Pontianak FS will have a positive impact, not only for both sides, but also for the development of the education industry," he said.

This cooperation covers a wide range of areas, including the development of scholarship patterns synergistic with alumni, research in the fields of Shariah and law, as well as capacity-building programmes for students and lecturers. Both sides are also committed to holding seminars and workshops as a reservoir for the exchange of knowledge and experience between industry practitioners and academics.

The event closed with the signing of the MOU and the submission of a poster as a symbol of the newly formalized cooperation. It is hoped that this cooperation will soon be followed up by concrete programmes that will bring great benefits to both sides and society.[EH]
