Faculty of Sharia and Law Inaugurates Two Smart Class Youth Empowerment Spaces Sponsored by the Ministry of Youth and Sports

FSH News, Smart Class Spaces – The Faculty of Sharia and Law has officially opened two Smart Class Youth Empowerment Spaces as new facilities aimed at fostering the development of student potential. The inauguration was led by the Deputy of Youth Empowerment from the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora), Prof. Dr. H. M. Asrorun Ni’am Sholeh, MA, on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, on the 3rd floor of the FSH building.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by faculty leaders, lecturers, academic staff, and student representatives. In his remarks, Prof. Dr. Asrorun Ni’am Sholeh expressed his appreciation for the Faculty of Sharia and Law’s efforts to utilize this support to create spaces that empower youth, especially students. “With the presence of these Youth Empowerment Spaces, we hope that the younger generation, particularly students, will become more productive, innovative, and have the space to fully develop their potential,” he stated.

The Dean of the Faculty of Sharia and Law, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Maksum, S.H., M.A., MDC., warmly welcomed the addition of these two new rooms. He explained that the Smart Class facilities were designed to support technology-based learning and serve as creative discussion spaces for students. “This facility reflects our commitment to providing the best educational services supported by modern technology. We also hope these spaces become hubs for students to develop impactful ideas that benefit society,” the Dean elaborated.

The Smart Class Youth Empowerment Spaces are equipped with modern amenities, such as advanced audio-visual equipment, interactive smart boards, high-speed internet connectivity, and a comfortable, flexible room design. These spaces are tailored to support a variety of activities, including interactive learning, seminars, leadership training, and group discussions.

One of the students in attendance, Nabila Dhiya Khalida, expressed her enthusiasm for the new facilities. “We are truly grateful for these facilities. With the Smart Class spaces, learning will be more engaging, and we feel more motivated to participate actively in both academic and non-academic activities,” she shared.

The inauguration event concluded with a ribbon-cutting ceremony by Prof. Dr. Asrorun Ni’am Sholeh, MA, marking the official launch of the Smart Class Youth Empowerment Spaces.
