Coaching Session on Research Proposal Refinement for FSH Lecturers: Focus on Faculty’s Flagship Research
FSH News, Madya Meeting Room – The Faculty of Sharia and Law (FSH) held a coaching session for lecturers aimed at refining research proposals as an initial step toward establishing the faculty’s flagship research. The event was attended by FSH lecturers and guided by the faculty’s Research Expert Council.
In her opening remarks, the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Mesraini, M.Ag., emphasized that flagship research proposals must undergo enrichment and approval by the Expert Council before proceeding to the next stages. This process ensures that the research aligns with FSH’s vision and mission while maintaining high quality.
"The FSH Expert Council comprises 10 experts divided into two main fields: 5 experts in law and 5 experts in sharia. The Chair of the Sharia Research Expert Council is Prof. Dr. Yayan Sopyan, M.Ag., while Prof. Dr. Khamami, S.H., M.A., MDC. leads the Law Research Expert Council. The collaboration between these two fields will maximize contributions in defining the direction of the faculty’s flagship research," said Prof. Mesraini (Tuesday, 21/01/2025).
In 2025, FSH aims to produce three flagship research projects under the Research and Community Service Center (Puslitpen) that are ready for practical application. To achieve this target, these three projects will undergo intensive mentoring from the FSH Expert Council before finalization.
In addition to the flagship research projects, ten other research articles will be competitively reviewed within the faculty. This initiative aims to enhance the quality of lecturers’ research and foster innovation in the fields of sharia and law.
"The Expert Council will provide direct guidance to researchers throughout the proposal refinement process. With structured mentoring, it is expected that FSH lecturers’ research proposals will meet high academic standards and address societal needs," she added.
During the session, each participating lecturer had the opportunity to present abstracts of their registered research proposals. FSH remains committed to advancing high-quality research and making meaningful contributions to the development of knowledge in law and sharia.[LFM]
