Coaching Clinic for Final Project of Family Law Study Programme
FSH News, Intermediate Meeting Room – The Family Law Study Program at the Faculty of Sharia and Law, UIN Jakarta, organized a Coaching Clinic for Final Assignments for students in their 5th and 7th semesters. This event aimed to equip students with a deeper understanding of thesis writing and enhance the quality of research in the field of Family Law.
The event featured two distinguished speakers: Prof. Dr. Yayan Sopyan, M.Ag., a Professor at FSH UIN Jakarta, and Windy Triana, M.A., Ph.D., a lecturer in Family Law Research Methodology. They delivered insightful sessions focusing on selecting research topics, academic writing techniques, and appropriate research methodologies in Family Law studies.
The Secretary of the Family Law Study Program, Ali Mansur, M.A., expressed his appreciation for the event in his opening remarks. "We hope this program provides significant benefits for students in preparing their final assignments. Direct guidance from experts in Family Law is expected to help students understand the essential aspects of their research," he stated (Thursday, 20/02/2025).
The first session, led by Prof. Yayan, emphasized the importance of choosing a research topic that is not only relevant but also contributes to the development of Family Law knowledge. Meanwhile, Windy Triana, Ph.D., discussed effective strategies for designing research methodologies and data analysis techniques that adhere to academic standards. Additionally, the speakers highlighted the importance of reviewing journals from the past 5–10 years as references to ensure that the research remains current and relevant.
The students actively participated in the discussion and Q&A sessions, raising various concerns they frequently encounter while writing their theses, such as problem formulation, literature review, and selecting the appropriate research methodology.
Through this Coaching Clinic, it is expected that Family Law students at FSH UIN Jakarta will be better prepared and more confident in completing their final assignments with high quality, meeting established academic standards.[LFM]
