BTQ Development Program for New Students of the Comparative Mazhab Study Program: From Imla' to Mastery of Tajweed

FSH News, 2nd Floor Theatre The Comparative Mazhab Study Program held a Quran Reading and Writing (BTQ) development program for new students. This activity is conducted annually at the beginning of the academic year to provide guidance in Quranic recitation and imla' (Arabic writing) for new students at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta.

Before the BTQ program began, the Head of the Comparative Mazhab Study Program, Dr. Siti Hanna, Lc., M.A., gave an academic orientation to introduce the program in greater detail to the new students. “We should take pride in being part of the Comparative Mazhab family because the career opportunities for our graduates have expanded significantly. Beyond becoming a Mufti, our alumni also have the potential to serve as judges and other legal professionals,” said Dr. Siti Hanna during the opening of the BTQ program for new students in the Comparative Mazhab Study Program (Thursday, 05/09/2024).

Dr. Siti Hanna further explained the profile of the Comparative Mazhab Study Program, which aims to produce and develop human resources with comprehensive and comparative expertise in Sharia and law. “Specifically, graduates of this program are in demand by society as scholars capable of addressing fiqh issues with an integrative understanding of national law,” she added.

The technical implementation of the BTQ program began with imla’ sessions led by Lia Fauziyyah Ahmad, M.H., followed by Quran reading assessments and guidance on Tajweed principles, facilitated by the Comparative Mazhab Student Association.[LFM]
